Creating a COPE Calendar Event: How can my event offer ChampChange?

ChampChange is an engagement incentive program encouraging undergraduate students to become active members in their community. Students earn points by participating in campus activities like workshops, tutoring sessions, success appointments, and athletics. These points may be used to purchase prizes at several auctions held throughout the semester.

ChampChange is always looking for new student organizations or university offices and departments to partner with. If you think your event should be considered for ChampChange, submit a new event for the Calendar and be sure to click the box to select ChampChange in the new event form.

You may suggest a Point Value for your event or leave it to be determined.

Also, you should provide Dispute Details, which will be used to confirm a student attended your event should there be a question about their point total. This is key information from the event that you, as the organizer, know in advance and that would be known by a student who attends.

Example: Students who attended Convocation in 2015 would know Associate Provost Singel moderated a conversation between the author Rebecca Skloot and the Lacks family.  Questions submitted via Twitter were answered at that time.

Please also provide Justification explaining why this event should be a ChampChange event. How does your event enhance the curricular or co-curricular experience of MSU students?

Finally, you may choose to checkout a portable student ID card reader in order to keep track of students who attend.
