How do I login to the CMS with the Direct Edit feature?

Please note the following web browsers are most compatible with the CMS: Chrome, Firefox, and Safari.

There are two ways to login to the CMS, depending upon the type of website you have.

For a website using our Version 1 web template:

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  2. Locate the footer. You will find the footer at the very bottom of the page. It is a navigation bar that includes links to the university homepage and other informational pages.


  3. Hover your mouse over the right-most space in the footer next to Site Index. Your cursor will change from an arrow to a hand. This is called the Direct Edit link.
  4. Click on this invisible link.
  5. You will be redirected to the OU Campus login screen, which provides access to the CMS.

 

For a website using our Version 2 web template:

  1. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
  2. Locate the footer. You will find the footer at the very bottom of the page. It is a grey navigation bar that includes links to university information pages, resources, and social media.

  3. There is a translucent semicircle in the upper left-hand corner of the footer. This is called the Direct Edit link.


  4. Hover your mouse over this semicircle. Your cursor will change from an arrow to a hand.
  5. Click on this invisible link.
  6. You will be redirected to the OU Campus login screen, which provides access to the CMS.
