Breadcrumbs are assigned to your pages automatically based on page names. If you would like to edit this name (for example if your page name is long and you want the breadcrumb to be a simplified version), all you have to do is log in, check out the page, and access the page properties.
If you are changing the breadcrumb name for the index page:
- Log in to the CMS by navigating to a page on your website and clicking the Direct Edit link.
- Click Content then Pages.
- Navigate to the _props.pcf file for the index file you would like to edit. If you are editing the index file for your main website this will be from the main page view. If you are editing the index file for a site section you will need to open the site section.
- Check out the file by clicking the lightbulb.
- Click Properties.
- Change the text in the field Section Title.
- Click Save.
If you are changing the breadcrumb name for any other page:
The breadcrumb name for other pages in the website will be the same as the page name. To change the page name and breadcrumb, log in and edit the properties.
- Log in to the CMS by navigating to a page on your website and clicking the Direct Edit link.
- Click Content then Pages.
- Navigate to the page you wish to edit.
